the development, financing, construction, and operations of two high voltage transmission lines in Kenya under a public private partnership framework namely (i) 400kV Lessos – Loosuk transmission line and associated substations; and (ii) Kisumu – Kakamega – Musaga transmission line and associated substations (the “Project”). The Project is a partnership between the consortium of Africa50 and PowerGrid Corporation of India as the private party and Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) as the contracting authority or concession grantor under the auspices of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Act 2023.
